The beautiful peaks of the Brenta Dolomites

In Comano Dolomites if we are feeling a bit down, we just have to look up at the towering peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. The highest summits in the Comano Valley, they surrounded us and spur us on every day.

The Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are loved by everyone, we are sure you will too! There is something different about this enchanting range, where some of the most famous pages of Alpine mountaineering history have been written.

Geology and the Brenta Dolomites

For geologists, these mountains are an open book where every millimetre tells the story of a different century.

A story which began 250 million years ago, when the Brenta Dolomites were a tropical atoll stranded in a deep ocean, separated from other atolls which are now other parts of the Italian Dolomites.

Later, the African and European tectonic plates collided and began to form the "most beautiful mountains in the world", as they were described by French geologist Deodat de Dolomieu, after whom the Dolomites are named. One of nature’s true wonders!

Savour the unique experience of spending time on these beautiful mountains and in the forests of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park which envelop their lower slopes. A natural cure for body and mind, soaking up the peace and tranquillity offered by the mountains. They are an authentic, unspoiled, ancestral place, with the power to inspire.

Nothing frees your imagination and creativity like immersing yourself in unspoiled nature, in fragrant forests, following footpaths leading to breathtaking viewpoints. Nothing helps you forget your cares and worries like the pure air of our mountains.

The higher you climb, the more positive energy you derive from close contact with nature, in perfect harmony with the environment. You can also find inner harmony because in the mountains you can simply be yourself. Free to dream and gaze upon all this natural beauty.

Our recipe for this peace of mind? A backpack, a pair of walking boots and the Brenta Dolomites.
