Local Trentino produce
Unique delicacies are grown on the sunny slopes around Bleggio, Banale and Lomaso, some of which you can taste directly from the growers, whilst others pass first through the hands of expert cooks or charcutiers.
Bleggio hazelnuts
Grown since ancient times around Bleggio, these hazelnuts are noted for their aromatic taste, thin and easy to break shell, small size and unusual elongated shape. You have to give them a try! They are delicious in sweet-smelling desserts like cakes or in savoury products, like the traditional sausages made with hazelnuts.
Banale ciuìga sausage
A unique type of salami, created in San Lorenzo in Banale in the 1800s. Back then, ciuìga was made with the less choice parts of the pig which were mixed with cooked and shredded turnips. The sausage is now made during winter, as is traditional, using premium cuts of pork.
