In Comano Dolomites, you can explore these unique and wonderful flavours with A Taste of Comano. And what are the stars of the show? They are:
- potatoes from Lomaso,
- hazelnuts from Bleggio,
- ciuìga from Banale,
- and fresh mountain milk
There is a product for every season, every part of the valley has its own speciality and tasting them helps you to understand the essence of our land and its flavours.
Village feasts dedicated to traditional Trentino produce
We begin in early June with Latte in Festa, dedicated to the “white gold” and the many flavoursome products made from milk, continuing in late August with a festival celebrating honey and medicinal herbs.
Two days abuzz with fun, tastings and workshops to learn about the secrets of bees and medicinal herbs.
Autumn is the best-tasting season, when we celebrate potatoes from Lomaso, served up in all sorts of delicious dishes, such as the mouthwatering Banale ciuìga sausage, made with turnips, and Bleggio hazelnuts, served on their own or made into cakes, bread, a full-bodied hazelnut liqueur or the rare hazelnut salami.
