The ‘Sentieri delle Orme’ waymarked trails
Explore the Comano Valley without worrying about getting lost! The waymarked paths all start in the very centre of the valley: at the Terme di Comano spa.
You have a choice of four trails leading to distinctive and interesting parts of the valley. Each trail is signposted with different coloured markers, to put you on the right path. Choose the trail that most appeals to you:
The Cammino dell’Acqua path
This walk is shaped by water, from the Terme di Comano spa which harnesses its curative properties to the deep Limarò gorge. Follow the blue markers.
The Cammino dell’Arte path
The theme of this walk, marked in purple, is art in all its forms. Head up to the sunny hillsides around Stenico, passing frescoed churches, until you reach the majestic Stenico Castle and the BoscoArteStenico trail.
The Cammino della Storia path
Of the four paths, this is the longest and the one which will take you furthest back in time. Marked in red, this trail transports you through history via ancient parish churches and a former Franciscan Monastery, before reaching the Bronze Age at the Fiavé archaeological site.
The Cammino della Fede path
Orange markers guide you around villages and religious sites in Bleggio. Along this trail, faith and superstition come together in churches with frescoes by the Baschenis family, the ruins of Castel Restor and the ancient Santa Croce chapel.
